Position Overview:

My clients busy animal hospital, who has proudly been serving Denver, Colorado and the surrounding areas, is seeking a full-time veterinarian to join their dedicated team. As a full-service veterinary hospital, Gentle Touch provides exceptional medical, surgical, and dental care for dogs and cats. The hospital features visiting specialists in radiology, cardiology, advanced dentistry, and surgery, and is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), AAFP Cat Friendly, and Fear Free Certified.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop rapport with clients to understand their needs and wishes.

  • Perform physical examinations and diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental procedures to deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.

  • Communicate physical examination findings and diagnosis to clients, generate and      present treatment plans, and educate clients on preventive health care, including vaccines and appropriate nutritional products.

  • Maintain accurate client/patient medical records and logs, assist colleagues in follow-up and future management of patients.

  • Stay up-to-date with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine, and attend Continuing Education meetings.

  • Assist in developing the paraprofessional team to ensure high-quality care and      exceptional client service.

  • Positively represent the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.

  • Treat every client like family and each patient like your own pet.

Work Schedule:

  • 4-day work week with no weekends.

  • 3 days dedicated to appointments and 1 surgery day.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.

  • Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Colorado.

  • Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a      positive, friendly attitude.

  • Ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team      members.

  • Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets.

  • Compassionate team player who can uphold the hospital's great reputation with clients.

  • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary      code of ethics.

  • Proficiency in surgery is a plus.

Compensation:

  • Salary range of $90,000-$130,000, plus production options, based on experience.
