A client that JHP Recruitment are representing is seeking a Lead Veterinarian to serve as the medical leader of their practice. This role fosters a positive and collaborative work environment, ensuring an exceptional experience for both patients and clients, as well as for the practice’s care team. The Lead Veterinarian partners with the Practice Manager and Regional Medical Director to ensure the practice maintains high standards of care while meeting operational and financial goals.


This role is ideal for both veterinarians with leadership experience and those looking to grow into a leadership position, as mentorship and support from the previous Lead Veterinarian will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a leader within the hospital, upholding values of trust and respect in all interactions.

  • Guide and mentor staff through the company’s LevelUp clinical training program.

  • Promote the human-animal bond by providing exceptional client service and patient care.

  • Manage multiple patients and priorities efficiently within designated timeframes.

  • Oversee the medical care of all patients, serving as the veterinarian of record for hospital permits and licenses.

  • Partner with the Practice Manager to set and uphold medical standards within the hospital.

  • Supervise client communication, addressing medical questions, concerns, or complaints as needed.

  • Collaborate with the Regional Medical Director to establish medical guidelines and      provide medical training to support staff.
