My client is seeking a Lead Veterinarian to serve as the medical leader of their AAHA-accredited practice in Longview, Texas. This role ensures a positive and collaborative work environment, providing high-quality treatment for their patients and an excellent employment experience for the staff. The Lead Veterinarian will work closely with the associate veterinarians, the Regional Medical Director, and the Practice Manager to ensure top-tier veterinary care and operational success.
This position is supported by the previous Lead Veterinarian, making it a great opportunity for both experienced leaders and those looking to develop their leadership skills.
The clinic is a multi-doctor, AAHA-accredited companion animal practice located in Longview, Texas. They are committed to delivering the highest standards of modern veterinary medicine.
The state-of-the-art facility includes advanced technology, a surgical suite, diagnostics, and lab work, all designed to create a calm and welcoming environment for clients and their pets. The skilled veterinary team provides comprehensive care for dogs, cats, small pocket pets such as ferrets and hamsters, as well as exotic pets like snakes.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a leader in the hospital, promoting trust, respect, and professionalism in all interactions.
Mentor and develop staff members through participation in the company’s LevelUp clinical training program.
Provide exceptional client service and promote the human-animal bond.
Manage multiple patients and priorities efficiently within designated timeframes.
Oversee all medical care in the practice and serve as the veterinarian of record for hospital permits and licenses.
Partner with the Practice Manager to establish medical standards and ensure effective communication with clients.
Collaborate with the Regional Medical Director to set medical guidelines and support the training of support staff.
