Veterinary Medical Director

Position: Full-Time Veterinary Medical Director

Location: St. Petersburg, FL Compensation:

Starting at $200k/year (PROSAL, full-time range)
Sign-On Bonus: Generous signing bonus available!

My client is currently seeking a Full-Time Veterinary Medical Director to lead a dedicated team. This position offers a competitive salary, full benefits package (including medical, dental, vision, 401k), CE allowance, and a flexible schedule with no holidays, overnights, or on-call shifts.

The Role

As the Medical Director, you will be a key leader in our clinic, guiding a team of veterinarians and support staff. You will have the opportunity to shape the medical standards of the practice, mentor a team of veterinarians, and work closely with other veterinary professionals. You’ll be supported by the clients Medical Initiatives Committee.

Who They are Looking For

• A strong leader passionate about building a top-tier medical team.

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) with 3 or more years of experience.

• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

• Strong medical reasoning and ethics.

• Active State Veterinary Board License and DEA licensure (or eligibility).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the veterinary team.

• Provide high-quality medical care, including diagnostics, dentistry, radiology, and surgery.

• Foster a collaborative, fear-free, and low-stress environment for pets and clients.

• Build positive relationships with the veterinary team, clients, and patients.

• Support the ongoing professional development of the team through mentorship and CE      opportunities.
