Position: Surgeon

Under the guidance of the Medical Director and with support from the Regional Medical Director, the Surgeon at Big Sky Animal Medical Center upholds the commitment to prioritize pet health and deliver excellent service. The Associate Veterinarian educates clients, advocates for, and provides the highest quality medical, surgical, dental, and nutritional care to companion animals.

Qualifications:

· Graduates of an AVMA-accredited college or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE certification program

· Licensure in good standing to practice in the respective state

· Strong decision-making and communication skills

· Commitment to upholding veterinary code of ethics

Job Responsibilities:

· Developing rapport with clients, performing physical examinations, and conducting diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures while ensuring high-quality care and minimizing patient stress.

· Communicating examination findings and diagnoses to clients, developing treatment plans, and educating on preventative healthcare.

· Maintaining accurate client/patient records and staying updated with advancements in veterinary medicine through Continuing Education.

· Assisting in team development to ensure high-quality care and exceptional client service.

· Representing the hospital positively in professional and public communities.
